130 companies apply to INNO4COV-19, a project of which BioKeralty is already a partner

Applicants seek financial, technological and regulatory support to accelerate their innovative technology proposals

INNO4COV-19 provides companies financial, technological and regulatory support in order to accelerate the development and commercialization of those Covid-19innovative solutions.

November 15, 2020

The first open call for INNO4COV-19 project has received more than 130 applications of companies or small consortia coming from different European Union states and partner countries of the H2020 program. The European INNO4COV-19 project aims to provide financial, technological and regulatory support to companies in order to accelerate the development and commercialization of those innovative solutions focused on the COVID-19 pandemic which already have been proved in a laboratory.

Due to the high impact of COVID-19, several companies and consortiums have concentrated their efforts on the development and implementation of innovative technologies (diagnosis and prevention, environmental monitoring, sensors and telemedicine and personal protection and public space equipment) to face the pandemic. This first call is already closed, so all projects are currently in the evaluation and selection process. However, given the high success, a second call will be announced in the following weeks.

To contribute to this goal, BioKeralty is already a INNO4COV-19 project consortium member. In this framework, BioKeralty’s wants to be part of an ecosystem that seeks to create an innovation center whose mission is focused on providing the suitable approach and help to those small consortia and companies that are trying to develop innovative technologies.
