A milestone moment for collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose

From 10–12 June 2025, the CARAMEL consortium met in Dublin, Ireland, for its second face-to-face plenary meeting. Hosted by the School of Nursing & Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin, this three-day event brought together project partners from across Europe and Colombia to review progress, align on priorities, and energize the next phase of implementation.

Uniting research and real-world impact

The meeting showcased the heart of CARAMEL—interdisciplinary collaboration that bridges science, lived experience, and ethical practice. Sessions ranged from co-design activities and strategic planning to technical deep dives and ethical debates. Highlights included:

  • Gender-sensitive research approaches
  • Robust data governance strategies
  • Moving personal accounts shared by those with lived experience

This convergence helped reinforce common goals, define roles more clearly, and ensure alignment as the project moves forward toward its clinical, technological, and community outreach milestones.
