Biokeralty takes part in the final meeting of the European Convert2Green project

Biokeralty took part in the closing event of the Convert2Green project, an initiative funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, which is coming to an end after 39 months of collaborative work between partners across Europe.

The consortium’s final meeting took place on 6 and 7 May at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Athens, Greece, where the project partners met for the last time to present the results achieved, share lessons learnt and celebrate the collaborative work carried out throughout the project.

Convert2Green is an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) whose aim has been to help European SMEs develop and bring to market innovations in circular and low-carbon materials up to 30% faster and more cost-effectively, thereby contributing to the transition towards a green and competitive economy in Europe.

Biokeralty has participated in the project as a Use Case Partner in the field of smart health, with a clear objective: to maximise the organisation’s innovation potential through engagement and collaboration with external partners. Furthermore, given its expertise in innovative medical devices, Biokeralty extended its involvement to the evaluation and coordination of pilot cases submitted in response to the project’s open calls. This involvement has enabled the company to connect with experts, technologies and complementary capabilities across Europe, enriching internal innovation processes and opening new avenues for development.

This in-person event brought together partners and collaborators in an atmosphere of reflection and celebration, highlighting the bonds forged and the results achieved throughout the project’s lifetime, including notable progress in areas such as packaging for bone implants, smart textiles, printed batteries, and technologies for health and food.

At Biokeralty, we are delighted to have been part of this European initiative and remain committed to collaborating on research and innovation projects that drive sustainable solutions with a positive impact on society.
