On World Mental Health Day, celebrated on 10 October, Biokeralty reaffirms its commitment to emotional well-being as an essential part of comprehensive health. In line with the Keralty group’s holistic and salutogenic vision, Biokeralty works to ensure that mental health is no longer a secondary issue but becomes a cross-cutting focus of care, prevention and innovation.
Active participation in the European OPADE project
Biokeralty celebrates World Mental Health Day as a partner in the European OPADE project (Optimise and predict antidepressant efficacy for patients suffering from major depressive disorders using multi-omics analysis and AI-predictive tool, grant agreement No 101095436), an initiative funded by Horizon Europe that seeks to optimise and predict the efficacy of antidepressants in patients with Major Depressive Disorders (MDD). The project brings together scientific, healthcare and private institutions from Europe and Colombia to carry out comprehensive and far-reaching research with the aim of transforming the treatment of MDD.
Biokeralty’s main contribution to OPADE focuses on Work Package 5, entitled ‘Dissemination and communication activities. Exploitation strategies’, for which BIOKERALTY is the Lead Beneficiary during the 54 months of the project.
A salutogenic approach that puts people at the centre
Mental health is not just about the absence of mental disorders, but about the presence of balance, resilience and a sense of purpose. It includes emotional, psychological and social well-being. This perspective, deeply rooted in the Keralty group’s salutogenic approach, is reflected in all its programmes, from the SER Institute to initiatives promoting healthy habits, emotional support and professional training.
At Biokeralty, we understand that caring for mental health is caring for life. That is why we work every day to integrate emotional well-being into all levels of care, from medical consultations to community spaces, with special attention to the most vulnerable groups.
A call to action
On this World Mental Health Day, Biokeralty invites professionals, patients, families and communities to reflect on the role we all play in building healthier, more empathetic and resilient environments. Because mental health is a shared responsibility, and caring for it begins with recognising it as a priority.
