On 29 and 30 October 2025, the international consortium of the European research project OPADE met at the headquarters of the FONDAZIONE EBRIS in Salerno, Italy, to hold its second annual meeting. This important meeting marks a significant milestone in the progress of the project, which aims to transform the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) through precision medicine.
During two intense days of collaborative work, scientific exchange and strategic planning, the consortium partners shared preliminary results, aligned objectives and reinforced synergies between research, technology and mental health.
Funded by the European Union through HaDEA under the Horizon Europe programme, OPADE focuses on identifying crucial biomarkers to support more accurate and personalised clinical decision-making in the treatment of MDD. By integrating artificial intelligence, multi-omic analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration, the project seeks to improve treatment efficacy and the quality of life of those affected.
This annual meeting reaffirms the consortium’s commitment to scientific excellence, clinical innovation and meaningful social impact.
